Leap Chair by Steelcase
The Leap chair by Steelcase has a back that changes shape to support the entire spine. This can reduce the chance of lower back sag and a hunched posture, which may weaken disc walls, stress back ligaments and cause deterioration of the spine.
With its Natural Glide System As you recline: the seat glides forward so you can recline without leaving your Vision and Reach Zone, so you stay oriented to your work. This encourages more varied postures so there’s less static load on the spine.
Thermal Comfort Thanks to slats in both its back and seat, and the special foam it uses, the Leap chair offers excellent “breathability.” It effectively controls a balance of heat and moisture so you stay comfortable.
The seat height adjusts pneumatically. A 5″ range of adjust ability (15″H to 20″H from floor). Height Adjustable arms, adjustable up and down so you can find a natural position that comfortably supports the wrists, forearms, shoulders and neck.
Lower Back Firmness Lower back firmness control enables you to set a constant amount of firmness to help maintain your lower spine’s natural curve.
Upper Back Force Upper back force control enables you to set the amount of “push back” that you desire as you recline, regardless of body size. So you’ll receive just the right amount of recline support.
Variable Back Stop The variable back stop allows you set the recline angle of the back. Five stops are available.
The Leather being offered as an upgrade is a low grade bonded leather.

Awesome chair for a great price. I will say, it’s heavy as a pallet of bricks, but I love the sturdy construction. If you want lightweight, go for the Leap V2, but you’ll also lose out on the sturdiness of the V1. One minor downside was that it smelled almost like spray paint out of the box but that dissipated in a day or two. Shipping came in just fine, no issues. It was packaged extremely well and came with the top half already assembled. I just had to put the gas cylinder in the base then put the base on the cylinder. Took like 3 mins to assemble it. Took like 20 mins to get it out of the darn box because they package it so securely!
Everything is working fine about a week later and I look forward to sitting in this for 8+ hours a day.

I was very skeptical about this chair because the price is so good with FREE shipping. I ordered it on 6/04/2025 and it was at my door by 6/06/2025. As the previous review states, it is VERY heavy and sturdy. It goes together in 5 minutes and rolls smoothly. It feels great. So many adjustments are available, I needed to go onto you tube to figure out how to use and adjust it. I am very pleased with this purchase and I highly recommend it to anyone needing a good solid office chair.

This is a great chair. I have been having back issues because my old desk chair was broken and wobbly. I ordered this chair because I formerly used one in my office at work, and because the price is outstanding.
As soon as I put it together and sat down on it, it fit like a dream. My back feels supported, and the chair is super comfortable. What a difference.
This is a great chair designed to be ergonomic, and at a great price. I highly recommend this model. I chose the color, hunter green, and they re-upholstered it with that fabric. It arrived in perfect condition and looks brand new.
You really cannot beat it for the price, and believe me there is no sacrifice in terms of quality, support, and comfort.
